.Oscar, trionfa la Bigelow: miglior film e regia per "The Hurt Locker"
Kathryn Bigelow è la prima regista donna a vincere l’Oscar per al miglior regia. Nella sfida con il suo ex marito, James Cameron, candidato per "Avatar", la Bigelow si porta a casa la statuetta per "The hurt locker". «È il giorno più bello della mia vita» ha detto la regista. "The Hurt locker" anche vinto il premio per la sceneggiatura originale, montaggio, suono e montaggio sonoro.
Nel complesso, pronostici rispettati e conseguente delusione per "Avatar": il campione di incassi della storia del cinema si è dovuto accontentare di tre Oscar tecnici, tra cui ovviamente non potevano mancare gli effetti speciali oltre a quelli per la direzione artistica e fotografia.
Il risultato finale vede quindi uno schiacciante 6 a 3 a favore della regista dell'ex moglie di Cameron.
Bullock e Bridges, migliori attori
Dopo aver vinto il Razzie Awards come peggiore attrice dell'anno, Sandra Bullock raccoglie la sua rivincita più importante conquistando il premio come migliore attrice per la sua interpretazione nel film "The Blind side". Tutto secondo previsioni nell'altra categoria: il miglior attore è andato a Jeff Bridges di "Crazy heart", già vincitore di Golden Globe, che batte il George Clooney di "Tra le nuvole". Nella categoria i migliori non protagonisti sono stati Mo'Nique, interprete di "Precious", e il Cristoph Waltz di "Bastardi senza gloria".
Gli Oscar parlano italiano
Nella notte degli Oscar echeggia l’urlo di Mauro Fiore: «Viva l’Italia». Fiore, 45 anni, calabrese, trasferitosi a Chicago all’età di sette anni, ha vinto la statuetta per la fotografia in "Avatar" ed è uno dei due italiani a trionfare al Kodak Theatre insieme a Micahel Giacchino, vincitore per la miglior colonna sonora originale nel cartone animato "Up". «Viva l’Italia, Un gran saluto all’Italia, un grande abbraccio» ha detto Fiore chiudendo il suo discorso in cui ha ringraziato i regista di ’Avatar’, James Cameron, e i genitori Lorenzo e Romilda Carpino.
Nella categoria trucco erano candidati altri due italiani, Aldo Signoretti e Vittorio Soldano per ’Il divò di Paolo Sorrentino. La statuetta è invece andata a Barney Burman per ’Star Trek’.

Academy Awards – Premi Oscar 2012, tutti i vincitori
Sono stati proclamati nel corso della notte italiana i vincitori dell’84a edizione degli Academy Awards, i premi Oscar, assegnati annualmente dalla Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, organizzazione onoraria formata da personalità che hanno portato avanti la loro carriera nel mondo della celluloide composta da 5.765 membri, che quest’anno ha considerato i film usciti nelle sale statunitensi dal 1° gennaio al 31 dicembre 2011.
La serata di gala dell’edizione 2012 si è svolta al Kodak Theatre di Hollywood (Los Angeles), ed è stata condotta dall’attore Billy Cristal (per la nona volta presentatore della manifestazione), e trasmessa negli Stati Uniti su ABC ed in Italia sul canale pay Sky Cinema 1.
In una cerimonia decisamente stanca e noiosa, illuminata solo dalla bellissima esibizione degli artisti del Cirque du Soleil, il film muto “The Artist” si porta a casa cinque statuette, tra cui quella come miglior film, miglior attore (Jean Dujardin) e miglior regista (Michel Hazanavicius); cinque statuette anche per “Hugo Cabret“, ma tutte nelle categorie tecniche. Dopo due Oscar e ben 17 nominations, Meryl Streep si aggiudica finalmente la terza statuetta con la sua interpretazione di Margaret Thatcher nel biopic “The Iron Lady“; una commossa Octavia Spencer (nella foto) ritira il premio come miglior attrice non protagonista per “The Help“; Christopher Plummer vince il suo primo Oscar a 82 anni per “Beginners“. L’iraniano “Una separazione” è il miglior film straniero, “Rango” è invece il miglior film d’animazione.
Segnalo infine che i “nostri” Dante Ferretti e Francesca Lo Schiavo vincono il loro terzo Oscar grazie alle scenografie di “Hugo Cabret“, mentre purtroppo rimane a bocca asciutta Enrico Casarosa con il suo cortometraggio animato “La Luna” (ha vinto “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore“).

Da stamattina leggo di fan in crisi di nervi perchè Harry Potter non ha vinto nulla...personalmente la mia opinione è: la commissione dell'academy è rimasta a 50 anni fa e devono ancora rendersi conto che il genere fantasy è una realtà. non si può mettere harry potter assieme a hugo cabret o the artist. bisognerebbe creare una categoria a sè, come fanno ai golden globe...almeno loro si degnano di dividere i film per genere drammatico o commedia. Poi bisogna considerare che gli inglesi sono extra snobbati dall'academy e che probabilmente dopo la super vincita del ritorno del re non ne possano più di fantasy/creature magiche/incantesimi ecc...a mio parere dovrebbero darsi una svegliata.
Detto ciò: sono stra contenta per The artist, per Christopher Plummer e per quella dea in terra di Maryl Streep.. -

Oscar 2018, rubata e ritrovata la statuetta vinta da Frances McDormand
Frances McDormand ha vissuto un'esperienza davvero strana e unica dopo aver conquistato il premio Oscar grazie alla sua interpretazione nel film Tre manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri: alla star è stata infatti rubata la preziosa statuetta durante il Governors Ball.
Il ladro è stato individuato in pochi minuti e arrestato dalla polizia di Los Angeles, dove è rimasto in prigione dopo che la cauzione è stata fissata alla cifra di 20.000 dollari.
Il colpevole è il quarantasettenne Terry Bryant che aveva persino condiviso su Facebook un video dal vivo in cui aveva in mano l'Oscar e sosteneva che fosse stato conquistato dal suo team attivo nel campo musicale. L'uomo dichiarava inoltre di dover partecipare a molte feste importanti.
Bryant, secondo il sito di Bandcamp, è un performer musicale con il nome d'arte di D.J. Matari e ha inciso un album intitolato Greatness Is Living Inside of You.
Frances, dopo la disavventura, è rientrata in possesso della sua statuetta.
